A group of unlikely characters come together to do the stage play of their lives. Under the leadership of the faithful and dreamful Piet, this group consisting of elders from the old age home needs to find a way to not only put together and act out this play, but to get past the all-controlling Sara, who runs the old age home with an iron fist.

Doing the research at elderly homes, the team who made the film found countless people just sitting there, with no one visiting. These were people who were once fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers and even grandfathers and mothers. With this at heart, Anderkant die Stilte was created – a story that inspires people to connect and to emphasise the value that we all play in each other’s lives.
